TERMINOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF THE GERMAN PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION: SYSTEM CHARASTERISTICS AND NESTED STRUCTURING

Abstract

The terminological system of the German professional language of architecture and construction is considered in the article as an object of linguistic description of terminology science. The purpose of the work is to carry out a complex linguistic analysis, systematize and generalize system properties as well as update the problem of nest structuring on the basis of the terminological system of the German professional language of architecture and construction (GLSPAC). Achieving the goal involves the use of not only general scientific research methods namely analysis, synthesis, modeling etc., but also methods of linguistic researches in particular the descriptive method and techniques of the structural method such as semantic, component, definitional analyzes etc. The scientific novelty of the studies is justified by the fixation and description of the system properties of the GLSPAC terminological system. Based on the analysis of the correlation of basic terminological concepts, the term GLSPAC is interpreted as a lexeme that serves as a means of verbalizing or relaying a special concept of the field of architecture and construction, is a component of the studied industry terminology, forming with other units of the field of knowledge a network of explicit objective relations. The concept of the terminological system of GLSPAC is objectified as a complex dynamic system of terms and terminological combinations in the field of architecture and construction, which are united directly or indirectly by a network of hierarchical, hyperhyponymic, correlational, associative, polysemic, synonymous, antonymic relations etc. in order to implementation of the appropriate communicative thematic task in the process of intercultural professional communication. The article also highlighted for the first time the results of the research of word-forming and wordconnecting terminological nests of GLSPAC (with a total number of 858 nest-forming components), which combine 3854 terms and term compounds.
