TERMS OF MODERN PROFESSIONAL GERMAN LANGUAGE OF REHABILITATION

Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of rehabilitation terms in the modern German professional language of rehabilitation: the interpretation of the concept of "rehabilitation term" is generalized; the interpretation of the term "professional language of rehabilitation" is outlined; the modern professional German language of rehabilitation is characterized. The German professional language of rehabilitation is defined as a set of German language tools that serve for optimal understanding between specialists in the field of rehabilitation, which is characterized by a specific specialist vocabulary of rehabilitation. The lexical composition of the modern German professional language of rehabilitation covers German common words and rehabilitation terms. We interpret the rehabilitation term as a word/phrase denoting a special professional concept in the field of rehabilitation. We analyze a set of rehabilitation terms that are related to each other at the conceptual, lexical-semantic, word-forming and grammatical levels as a rehabilitation term system. At the current stage, a multidisciplinary team (prosthetist, surgeon, traumatologist, psychotherapist, rehabilitation specialist, art therapist) works with each Ukrainian who suffered from the war, so the modern rehabilitation terminology includes terms from the medical, social, psychological spheres, physical therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, military rehabilitation. The article defines the classification of rehabilitation terms according to meaningful and formal criteria into: 1) terms typical primarily for physical rehabilitation (a type of rehabilitation that combines various physical methods of influencing the body); 2) terms characteristic of medical rehabilitation; 3) terms typical for social and psychological rehabilitation; 4) terms typical for the rehabilitation of military and waraffected persons (prosthetic and orthopedic rehabilitation).
