SPECIALIZED LANGUAGE (FACHSPRACHE) AND TERM (TERMINUS): GENESIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC CATEGORIES IN UKRAINIAN AND GERMAN LANGUAGES

Summary. In the context of increasing globalization and the growing volume of specialized information in the modern world, there is a need for a profound understanding of the mechanisms shaping the formation and evolution of specialized language and terminology in Ukrainian and German linguistics. Due to constant changes in the geopolitical environment, the development and establishment of specialized terminological systems are among the current challenges of linguistic research. This article is dedicated to the analysis of the theoretical concepts of «specialized language» and «term» as linguistic phenomena in Ukrainian and German languages. Specialized language, presented in national languages as an independently distinguished standard with its own terminological content, specific grammatical constructions, and stylistic variations, facilitates communication at different levels depending on the participants, the form of its realization in speech (written or oral), and functionality (specialized language, language of production, language of consumers, etc.). The scientific novelty of the research lies in the clarification and specification of the scientific categories of «specialized languag» and «term» in Ukrainian and German languages. The study aims to identify common and distinctive features in the formation and use of specialized terms in the linguistic systems of both countries. The application of innovative methodologies, such as cognitive linguistics and intercultural interaction, allows for the exploration of deep interconnections and influences that shape the specificity of specialized communication in Ukrainian and German linguistic environments. The main focus is on systematizing and summarizing key scientific approaches of modern linguistics to the study of these terms. The paper provides information on the formation, actualization, and development of fundamental concepts that serve as the foundation for contemporary terminology studies. Special attention is given to dominant properties and functions of specialized language. The investigation into the genesis and development of scientific categories indicates how language reflects and defines the evolution of scientific knowledge, crucial for understanding the dynamics and interaction among contemporary scientific trends.
