THE MENTAL LEVEL OF IMAGERY IN THE UKRAINIAN LINGUISTIC CULTURE (on the example of the image of heart)

The article analyzes peculiarities of the linguistic representation of the mental level of imagery in the Ukrainian linguistic culture on the example of image of heart. It proposes the method of systematization of the «image – internal form of the word – conceptual metaphor» relations and introduces the conditional value for designation of the cognitive model of lexical-semantic field named basic conceptual field. The article studies sense-content frames connected by gradational (for the concept of the container), metonymic (for the concept of part / whole) and subject-object (for the concepts of subject and object) relations.
