MODERN MILITARY PROSE AS A LITERARY PHENOMENON

Abstract

The article outlines the main features of modern military prose as a literary phenomenon that distinguishes it from the military prose of the last century, especially the phenomenon of «lieutenant prose». These include the dominant strategy of revision, the absence of censorship and ideological pressure from the authorities, stylistic and lexical, as well as genre diversity and uniqueness. The article provesexpediency of distinguishing a special military type of discourse in domestic literature, which is a much broader concept than military prose, as it includes not only texts about the active phase of the war, but also works, for which the armed confrontation is only a background for the disclosure of other pressing social issues and problems. The article is proved that the grounds for distinguishing the military type of discourse, which is a much broader formation than traditional "military literature", should be considered a special way of forming a narrative, instant response to modern socio-political events, richness and diversity of genre formations (active genre diffusion on the border of reportage, essays, documentaries and documentaries artistic genre forms), features of the interaction of the triad "author-critic-reader" (taking into account the needs and requests of different groups, generational generations of recipients), general assessment and recognition by society, participants in the literary process of modern military prose).
